Private Colorado River Overnight Trip with Canyonlands Field Institute begins at Dewey Bridge and runs through the scenic Fisher Towers section through Professor Valley near Moab UT. We begin with your group at the historic Dewey Bridge and end the next afternoon at the BLM boat ramp after a day of scenic floating and river fun, sumptuous dinner and camping under the stars, and final day of gentle to exciting whitewater. This scenic river stretch is rated Class I-II (out of IV to designate level types and quantity of whitewater) and we use a variety of boats (paddle rafts, oar rowed rafts, and inflatable kayaks) depending on the season and the water levels. Our Naturalist Guides are the best and most knowledgeable in the Moab, specializing in Professor Valley/Fisher Towers geology, history, river ecology, animal lore and more. Families are welcome (minimum of 6 years of age). Our guides are particularly great with kids since we work with many youth groups throughout the season. Plus you benefit from knowing your custom trip with CFI is helping to underwrite our environmental education school programs and there is no additional sales tax. This trip will be JUST FOR YOU; we will pick you up at your hotel or meet at CFI headquarters south of town. Your fee includes lunch, snacks, transportation from town.
