    For Grade 9 and up - a classic and exciting whitewater experience through geologically and historically rich Westwater Canyon!

    School River Trip: Westwater Canyon Overnight explores wonderful Westwater, a Wilderness Study Area, with CFI Naturalist-Guides. Experience the one of the west's premier whitewater stretches with 6 miles of exciting Class III-IV whitewater rapids! April and early May or mid July through mid October (we dont run the usual higher water flows seen in late May through early July.)

  • What months available: Spring and Fall, either Friday through Sunday, Monday through Wednesday, or Wednesday through Friday only. The RIVER DAY is day 3; your group will depart for home from the river take out.

    The Colorado River begins high in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Around Moab, the Colorado soon slows and becomes a classic desert river, entrenched in deepening canyons of brilliantly colored sandstone. The river carries colorful sediment hiding the array of fascinating aquatic life just below the surface.
